Launch Party of Barrel & Drum!

Assalam alaikum everyone,

This post is about the inaugural launch party of Barrel & Drum , who have introduced a range of wooden sunglasses , it's a concept set up by a group of young design professionals as a means to introduce contemporary and eco-friendly eye wear to the middle easy!

Without further a due , let me begin by telling you their first collection has been named "The Classic Collection" as it has timeless styles, four different types to be precise although they shall be introducing more, a few months later.

As you can see below are the ones available in "The Classic Collection":

Ebony Wood Metal Rimless - Cat Eye.

As you can see from the pictures of the frames there is something for people from all walks of life!

Below are a few pictures of the Ezmeel Branch and set up of it where the launch was held and they have this collection stocked.

Below, you can see the arrangement done outside there was live music by a local band as well as snacks and seating area for the guests, me and my brother found it very amusing and out of the box applaud the team for the creativity.

Overall, after a hectic day at work it was lovely to visit and see the collection , try it, take lots of selfies and importantly meet up with everyone from Obai & Hill as well as a few lovely bloggers I'd been wanting to meet for really long , I'm glad I attended.

Fall Look-Book: 4 Ways to style your By Fara7 Designer Wear!

Salam Sisters!

Isn't the weather of Bahrain wonderful right now? Finally the weather we most look forward to on this desert island, Winter, is on its way!

Unlike in other parts of the world autumn is not as cool as to put on some layers, neither too hot to wear something really light, one moment you feel like you should have brought an extra cardi to work and the other moment you just regret wearing 100% cotton, haha! If you're from Bahrain you probably know what we mean! :P

We're really excited to announce that we recently got O'talented! We will do a separate blog post on our uber cool Agents as there is alot to say! For now, Let us introduce you to a new & quirky brand whose clothes are just perfect for this weather as well as all year round!

"By Fara7" is a new Fashion label by Farah Al Khalifa. The collection includes bright funky pieces that a specifically created for women with a knack for enjoying life and are confident about how they look like!

By Fara7 outfits include shirts, sweat shirts, skirts and dresses each outfit is a fusion of pop culture and Khaleeji: traditional Arabic statement artifacts such as Oud (a perfume made by burning scented wood) bottles, bunches of jasmines, traditional chunky gold jewellery with gems on bright neon backgrounds.

With the help of our agency, O Talent, the by Fara7 team sent us their pretty pieces to show how we style our byFara7 sweatshirt and shirt.

Look 1- Movie night with the Girls!

By Fara7 sweat shirt as you can see is hot pink in color and has a chunky gold cuff with gems printed on both the front and back side of the sweat shirt.

It's super funky and its color is perfect for autumn season in Bahrain. Since it's a sweat shirt it is over sized and does not reflect your silhouette that much and so it is a perfect modest wear. (Yippie!)

We paired it with light blue old school jeans, a teal pashmina scarf to match one of the gems, black coat shoes and a baggy boat purse to which we added a chiffon square scarf just to make it a little less boring. :D

Effortless Look!

The white colored Tee is such a cute piece that we've already made it a staple in our wardrobe, we've created three looks with this shirt!
Pink stars confetti and chunky gold cuffs on both the front and back are the highlight of this shirt.

Look 2- Out and About :

Since this Tee was half sleeved we decided to wear it with a light weight grey cardigan for a casual day out look. Dark blue boyfriend jeans, casual bright purple converse to make it a little funky, dark green head scarf and our Paris Hilton champagne colored purse with the blue & green scarf that we bragged about on our Instagram lol.

Look 3- Work to Night Out :

For a formal look we created a kimono style cardigan (click for tutorial) made out of a black white striped scarf and wore it on top of By Fara7 shirt.

Also, wearing a beige to light brown palazzo along with brown wedges for heels, and cute tote bag (our mom's).

This tote bag is hand made from the northern regions of Pakistan. Isn't it beautiful?

Randomness!

Look 4- Day at the Beach :

For this look we took the same by Fara7 white tee and added a DIY chiffon kimono cardi and replaced the palazzo with a straight skirt of the same color as the Pallazo. We kept the tote bag and brown wedges from Look 3. It looked light, flowy, but had enough layers to keep us warm if the weather decides to become cooler. Also the kimono cardi showed off the pretty details behind the by Fara7 shirt.

Hope you all liked our fall look book! Do not get intimated by Fara7's bright &colorful designs. If you use the right styling techniques you can easily mix this in your casual wear too!
