Review: Mustela Pakistan
7/02/2016
Assalam Alaikum Ladies,
So it's the last day of Ramadan & we are so sad that it's coming to an end so soon! We're filled with remorse and regret of what could've been done in these blessed months and what what we shouldn't have missed. But Alhamdulillah we still got a few days in our hands so let's make the best of it and let's not occupy ourselves with unnecessary Eid shopping that should've been done before Ramadan began, yeah?
So Last week we got a cute little pack from an International brand that recently launched in Pakistan. Mustela is a France based brand that creates hypoallergenic bath and hygiene products for newborns and new moms! Omaimah unpacked the package on our Snapchat so that you guys could be the first one's along with her to see what was inside, if aren't following us on snapchat (@omaimah0logy) then your missing out on a lot of fun, my friend!
Reviewing baby products you may ask? So I was saying this on my snapchat as well and I would say that here too- they are some very sensitive skin people out there on whom such mild products, such as these baby products, work perfectly fine without causing a scary reaction like our normal "Adult"(lol) products can. Mustela creates paraben free, phenoxyethanol free and phthalate free products perfect for babies with an Sensitive skin & other skin type as well as the growing age of every baby is very critical, so a lot of care must be taken even in the products we're using on them. I did try out some of the products so read along this quick and short review!
Mustela bébé's new Vitamin Barrier Cream:
This Product aims to treat the very common diaper rash. It has been specially formulated to tackle the factors that trigger irritations and redness. It's patented natural ingredients giving three fold effectiveness- prevents, relieves and repair. It is applied every time a diaper is changed, and they recommend to use it even if your baby doesn't have diaper rashes so it keeps this problem to the bay! I've read a few moms review on this product and it seems like it very effectively does the job!
Mustela STELATOPIA Emoillient Cream:
The name itself suggest that this would be a soothing cream of some sort for irritated skin. This product helps relieves atopic-prone skin, those skin that are very reactive to allergens and conditions like Eczema. It calms irritations and sensation of itchiness and helps moisturise dry skin. It's contains 3 lipids (Ceramide, Essential Fatty Acids and Procholestrol.) that replenishes are lipid rich skin and creates a protective barrier. I'm definitely going to keep this one for winters! It's perfect for super dry skin peeps like me!
Mustela 2-in-1 Hair and Body Wash:
This is a practical product that carefully cleans body and hair saving time and money (instead of buying separate products for hair and body). I actually tried this one out when I was taking a bath! My skin turned out to be soft, but it was for a minimal time. It smelled delicious with that new baby smell bottled in it, but I'm not sure if I smelled like that for long enough! I do, however, felt like a lot of water was needed to wash off the soapy texture from the skin, it felt very slippery. It also foamed a bit, not too much.
What they say it does:
- Preserves hydrolipidic film and capillary fibre, and respects the integrity of skin (fatty acids, neutral pH).
- Compensate for the drying effect of calcareous water; thanks to its superfatty active ingredients (coconut derivatives).
- Do not makes the eyes sting (neutral pH).
- Can be used easily when moving or traveling.
Mustela Bébé Dermo-Cleansing Gel:
So this wasn't actually gel like in consistency, it was more like your average shampoo, a little less shiny. Anywho. I did a very funny experiment with this one, I decided to use this on my face to see what happens, in the sense of my skin texture etc. So that morning I woke up with a happy RED new pimple near my brow which i wasn't happy about. After rubbing my face with Mustela Dermo-cleansing gel which luckily washed away in a few splashes of water, my red pimple turned pale. Like the redness was literally gone. I'm still wondering what could've led that to happen? Maybe it emollient agents or that Avocado Perseose?
What they say it does:
"Specially formulated for use right from day one,* Mustela Bébé Dermo-Cleansing gel is ideal for your baby’s daily hygiene:
- Gently cleanses your baby's skin and hair thoroughly yet delicately.
- Respects delicate skins and scalp with its soap-free formula.
- Compensates for the harsh, drying effects of hard water with its emollient agents. Leaves the skin soothed and hydrated.
- Ultra-gentle formula does not sting the eyes.
- Thanks to its new formula enriched with Avocado Perseose®, a patented ingredient of natural origin, Dermo- Cleansing reinforces the skin barrier and preserves the cellular resource."
Mustela 9 months Stretch Marks Double Action Cream:
So this one's a product for new-moms, if you haven't figured already lol. Stretch marks are something which is very common is chubby people too, who loose weight, since the extra skin retracts and leaves these stretch marks as well (the exact happens in mothers as well, I think). And since I had some cuz I was once a little chubbier that I am now I decided to give it a try. Since it was just a sample sachet I expected it to work a little on me. It smelled good and it glided on really well on the skin. It was a fluidly consistency so a little product was covering a large area. It felt a little sticky after a while.
What they say it does:
Specially formulated for post-partum skin care, Mustela 9 Months Stretch Marks Intensive Action reduces existing stretch marks with its exclusive combination of vitamins and naturally-derived ingredients:
- Restores skin quality with its patented anti-stretch marks formula that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.
- Helps repair the skin thanks to vitamin B5 and copper gluconate, which stimulate the regeneration of skin tissue.
- Avocado peptides and hydrating shea butter provide the skin with immediate relief and lasting nourishment. Leaves the skin more nourished and supple.
So I scrolled back up and have realized this turns out to be a pretty long review! Hope this review helped. If you're a new mom or know anyone then I definitely recommend this company!
